Nile decided to begin creating as Harpsona in early 2016. After posting a few short videos of herself playing music from the beloved indie game UNDERTALE on Tumblr, and seeing just how greatly her videos helped people relax, she realized the extent of her music’s soothing power.

Although classically trained on piano, Nile never touched a harp until her last year in her undergraduate studies as she worked towards her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. It was in 2013 where she would fall in love with the harp and begin this journey.

Nile continued to study under Seattle Symphony Principal Harpist Valerie Muzzolini while obtaining her PhD in bioengineering at the University of Washington. It was during this time that Nile began to self-teach music theory and arranging by ear.

Since beginning (recording short clips on her phone), Harpsona has performed covers with over 1 million views on YouTube, recorded for numerous albums and a Netflix limited series, and even performed on-stage at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle with actress and comedian Jenny Slate.
